Good morning John. I have no idea about silicone or wax molding however your dolphins and anchor came out a treat. Lovely stuff. Cheers Grant
Agreed the dolphins are particularly good. Only need a very minimal cleanup.
A few more pics after painting and varnishing the anchors, Just have to attach the rings and do the Puddening,

Basic shape of the block
After a bit of a clean up,
i had some wide brass strip that i cut a 3mm wide strip from,
i then wrapped the strip around the block and cut it to size,
after soldering,
in the process of making the hooks,
