Was the problem cause by difficulty in keeping waves or flat spots in the curvature of the wale? I always have to look along the hull and draw a line to keep the wales in proper shape and symmatrical port to starboard. The wales always want to curve too sharply upward as thay approach the stem, especially on a bluff bow, because of the twist imparted to the wale.

I drew a smooth line on the body, and when I glued the rail, it turned out to be a not very smooth bend. In one place there was an angle, there was no smoothness.

Great and interesting project. I'm impressed by your skills. I will certainly follow along.
Seeing your work I start wondering whether I should focus on 3D design in the future. Maybe a retirement project.

There are many sites with free models, you can also ask modelers, I am always ready to share. From the received models you can compile the necessary decor. It is not necessary to draw everything from scratch.

The main thing is to set the first rail correctly. The rest are already good. I draw the first line with a pencil on the body. I bend the rails over hot steam.
