I had almost forgotten about this build so time to share this build log.
It comes with a bucket full of PE and most of the pictures are what's been done and the squares you see are one centimetre square to give an idea of what I am dealing with.
Oh and there are only 1300 parts.P1040705.JPGP1040707.JPGP1040711.JPGP1040708.JPGP1040717.JPGP1040716.JPGP1040718.JPGP1040724.JPGP1040725.JPGP1040726.JPG20190514_192431.jpg20190514_195242.jpg

Awesome. I don't know what to say as I will display my complete ignorance. But, here it goes. So, this funnel is all one color. Is there not any differentiation (shades) of grays or is all of this structure one color gray (like the ladder, and other PE components) ? It seems that the tiny parts would have some contrast to them to make them stand out more. It is obvious that I am not educated on this ERA of ships. (and I need to be). I guess the only way to make some parts to stand out is to weather them. (more ignorance  )

As I have myself a new toy in the form of a PE Bender I dug out this build and continued the buckets of PE this time it's the turn of the searchlight platform.
And as with my PE it never looks like the picture and any weathering will be done nearer the end of the build20190904_131124.jpg20190904_131151.jpg20190904_131240.jpg20190904_133349.jpg20190904_134140.jpg20190904_143044.jpg20190904_165424.jpg20190904_165432.jpg20190904_170054.jpg20190904_170104.jpg

Those PE parts add so much details to the entire appearance, not to mention close to a proper scale as compared what kit supply. Certainly, the bending tool is a great help. To any of us interesting what kind of tool is an how to use, below is the link to one of the manufacturer (personally owned and liked)

Los detalles de latón realmente visten al modelo, aunque a veces falta que todos los fotograbados tengan el mismo grosor

Google Translate:
Brass details really dress the model, although sometimes it is missing that all the photogravures have the same thickness

Fantastic build. Although I have been nearly retired from the building- both Wood and Plastic, I wouled like to get the hand of this one. If I can get it , I will make some modification to meet the Spanish Fletcher "LEPANTO" which have a tripod mast with much more electrnick. One of the aft gun as well one set of torpedos has been changed too. There were 5 in Spain in the 1970 th. 3 were modefeid.
