rope walk

does anyone know if this is any good please?
The machine in the picture is not a rope walk. If you are looking to make rope, this will not do it, but if you are looking for something to serve a line, it looks like it should work.

Hi Tony,
If you are thinking of making your own rope using a home made rope walk, I would recommend looking at this post by Steef66.

Cheers,
Stephen.

Yes. I have one. I use it to for securing lines to blocks. I loop the rope over the pegs on the end opposite the handle, then use the thread on the brass pipe to wind 6 to 12 wraps around the double thread, secured at each end with clove hitch. When I remove it I just have to tighten the loop until it fits around the block. It looks a lot better than tying a knot around the block. it is also very easy.
