Russian Bogatyr cruiser, 1903 in 1/200 scale.

Bryian, you are turning this kit into a beautiful model. Even though the kit manufacturer sent you replacement parts they should be ashamed that they sent that kit out in the first place. Where is their quality control. In my opinion It's excellent builders like you that keep poor kit manufacturers in business. You should not be charged anything for this project.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. I am trying to move ahead with my build, but still awaiting replacement parts to build the superstructure.

Here's a comparison between the German dreadnought battleship Nassau (my previous build ) and the Cruiser Bogatyr both in 1/200 scale.

Hello friends,
its been some time since I have been at my workbench, as I have been waiting for my replacement parts to arrive from China .
As I stated in a previous post, most of the 3D printed resin parts for the deck were twisted and distorted. So a follow up email to the vendor about this resulted in the vendor sending me replacements.

I am not sure whether it was poor language translation with the vendor from my English to Chinese, but I only received the forward and aft superstructure ( pink resin ) and not the other parts I needed.

Anyway I am now proceeding with my build log. Photos show the 3D resin print parts in pink before I paint them.

thanks for your interest.

Hi there,

just putting the final touches on my Cruiser. Painting completed and ships boats fitted. I will add some basic rigging to the masts at some stage.

In summary, I would suggest model builders check out the latest 3D resin print ship models on Ebay from China. There are new models getting released each week. I personally like 1/200 scale as you can really go to town with the fine details at that scale.

My next project is Mikasa in 1/200 scale. :)
