Finally had some time to work on the ship, I'm pretty happy with the decking, I feel like it got wonky in places but that’s ok, now to work out finishes before I put them all on,

You're definitely hooked. You're beginning to acquire additional kits for your 'stash'.
OBTW, I think your deck planking and staining colors look great. Nothing wonky there.
Careful if you just 'peek' under the hood of the BP. Take it from one who's been there. Peeking leads to poking then starting another build
