I think my entries are a bit disjointed, due to my lack of understanding of the system. Well, this will be my last entry for some time as I take a break and search for warmer weather. At this point I have cut out all of the gun ports and filled in on the inside wall on the upper deck and planked that deck and cut holes in it for other things. As I may have stated already this has become a rather difficult build and I sometimes question my taking it on. My only answer to that is that if not now it would not happen. I had to do some repainting and work on the deck to clean it up again. Some of these pictures might have been from an earlier entry. Thanks for checking it out.

I'm back. After a month away from this ship I am back at it. Since returning I have been working on the deck fixtures and scuppers. There were no big surprises or problems with any of them and it has been more rewarding than some of the previous work.

After five weeks with the stern features which are the PE and laser cut pieces for the transom with many frustrations on trying to get these to fit and then to affix them I finally finished. I also had to do some modifications from what the instructions called for. so the next step per the instructions is to place the copper tape on on side of the hull, not sure why only one side. I will say I am not pleased with how well this did nor didn't turn out but I finally had the accept the results for what they are, otherwise I might never move on.

Looking good for a old ship, don't know why they would only have you copper one side, unless some models have open frames on one side and full planking and copper plating on the other side.

I have decided to copper both sides, don't know if I have enough, I know I can buy some from Art. Lat. if I need it. Yes it is a beast. So far the copper plating is going well and will post an update when one side is done.

, the copper plating is finished and I had enough to do both port and starboard sides. It was not a difficult task once placed a few strips down. The tool which I purchased to give the appearance of hardware used to fasten the copper plates worked fine giving the impression of individual plates.

I have that tool as well. It takes a little getting used to but it works well enough.
