the leudo is a typical Ligurian boat much larger at least 18-20 m the wood is Swiss pear, but then it will be painted. the beams of the beams until only supported, then they are corrected, aligned and then glued and afterwards they made the cabin and the motor housing
these photos are of a Carlofortino boat built on the island of San Pietro in the early 1900s and motorized in 1927 used for trade and then for the transport of minerals the photos are from 35 years ago today it no longer exists because it was destroyed by a fire

Some parts of the starter, the wiring and the muffler with the exhaust are still missing.
After the top is treated with a tamyia gray primer, then filled and treated with white primer and then painted.

Somehow it is a pity to cover the beautiful timber with white and green paint - But it is technically and historical correct
So I hope, that there will be on the deck enough unpainted deckhouses etc. ......

The model will be covered and painted with antifouling as the photo of the " Mamma Rosa" , and will have mahogany sides. Through the hatch of the cabin it will be possible to see the interior. I would like to make a diorama with a shipyard and insert this model together with one under construction where you can see the frames on sight.

I've stocked up on lumber. Here in Italy you don't find much. In the past I bought from Crown Timberyard which has now closed or from Lumberyard. Browsing the net I found this site:
