Deck deck I used IROKO wood Very fibrous a little difficult to work with small thin pieces, but I wanted to have a color more like the real wood of the original bridge. To decrease the porosity I used a glue to transfer POTCH images. Applied then smoothed and re-applied, then I passed the wax.IMG_0517-1.jpgIMG_0518-2.jpgIMG_0519-3.jpgIMG_0520-4.jpgIMG_0521-5.jpgIMG_0524-8.jpgIMG_0527-11.jpgIMG_0528-12.jpgIMG_0529-13.jpg

Looking absolutely great, Losto! What exactly 'Photo potch' does? Is it acted as a sealant? I am asking because it looks like you still use varnish. What kind of varnish it is?

photo potch is not paint. It is a glue to transfer the writing from paper to wood in the photo it looks like paint but it is a kind of glue

Hello everybody
I decided to take a break for the construction of the Enterprize, a very complex job, due to the shorter time I have in this period.
At this time I decided to make a simpler model that I have wanted to build for years.
A typical boat of the Mediterranean, the schifetto carlofortino, a gozzo that has the characteristic of having the sides with curved rowlocks.
Originally these boats were used for coral fishing or fishing for fish and lobsters, or other transport for trade along the Mediterranean coasts.
Those for trade were larger in size, even at 18 meters.
Now many have been rebuilt for lateen sailing sport regattas, making them very beautiful with the use of precious woods such as teak, iroko and mahogany.
Hallo @Iosto
We wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY

How is your work on the Schifetto going? Any progress to show?
Or you are back on your Enterprise? Both models are really worth to work on.....

The Schifetto is almost done, I got the hull painting wrong and I have to do it again.
The engine is missing to be painted. I will publish the photos shortly. I resumed the feat, I have almost finished the upper bow deck. I will update the photos shortly.
Thanks again
Greetings

Just compared the model with the original boat you showed on the first posts - very good work
BTW: In which scale you are building the boat? Could not find the info
