Sheer Rails.

I used tracing paper to make patterns for the sheer rails and mahogany wood for the rails.

hi mike great work as usual i reaqlly am enjoying this build so far. my aft frames should be finished this week will do final fitting and show all the new steps i am doing for eyesight problems are adding time but coming out much better using liquid masking tape along with the nibbs for pen holder is a lot of extra work but really well spent . Racing stripe.
I added a racing stripe for a little color.

I AM SO FAR BEHIND MIKE WILL HAVE COMPLETED 2 PERFECT MODELS OH WELL HAVING A LOT OF FUN SO FAR WITH THIS BUILD. Seat & Footrest Supports

The supports for the seats and footrest were added and some exterior planking was added. I used yellowheart for the planking.

Mast Step Seat & Footrest
As I started installing the seats and footrests, I noticed the small mast step and added it before continuing adding the seats and knees.

The rudder

The rudder and tiller are made from beechwood. The rudder was made using the pattern detail on the drawing and the tiller was made from square stock on the lathe.

I added a little Danish oil to the longboat and that will finish the project. Thanks for all the likes and comments.

When I showed the longboat to the Admiral she said ‘where is the paddles? So, I added some oars and took the final photos. The project was a lot of fun after I had the frames on the keel.

Wonderful result of a small boat, the oars just add to it and put the period for the build. I would also add a main mast with the flag, I often saw the boats displayed,
