Silent Mary by Mellpapa

Hey Melpapa,

I know it's a fictional ship and that the cinematic moment plays a bigger role here. But it could have been real. I love how you're doing it. I would make the upper martingale bar higher, since you're definitely going to hang a flag on it, right? :D Thumbsup By the way, my Athena will also be a cinematic ship. I hope that when I have built her, she will be at least half as beautiful as your Silent Mary...First Place MetalFirst Place Metal
Hey there, GIG1810.
Thanks for always cheering me on.
I must have messed up somewhere.
It wasn't a 36-inch gun, it was a 36-pounder.
I mixed up inches and pounds.o_O
My apologies.Redface
I'm looking forward to seeing your Athena ship.
Cheers to entertainment movies!!
Oh, no need to rush making it.
Enjoy building your hobby sailing ship model at your own pace!! :D Ship-1

■How to use Google Gemini to composite a sailboat model against a backdrop of ocean, sky, and white-capped wake.■
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are various ways to synthesize it, but I'll explain my method.
First, prepare the images to be composited.
The example used is the Vasa from Artesia.
(I borrowed the image from the catalog without permission. My apologies.)
The image data is in JPG format.

item.1774.1.jpg
I will use this image.

item.1774.2.jpg
Processing is required.
Erase the red-lined area using drawing software.
If anything remains below the waterline, the composite will look strange.

item.1774.3.jpg
This is what it looks like when you remove everything below the waterline.
Please save this image and keep it ready.

Capture-001.JPG
When you call up Google Gemini, this screen appears.
(This is the Japanese version.)

Capture-001-01.jpg
Drag the image from earlier into the red arrow area.

Capture-002.JPG
Inserting the image from earlier will result in this.

Capture-002-01.jpg
Enter how to process the image at the red arrow location.

Capture-003-01.jpg
Enter the following words in the red arrow section:
“Please composite the sailboat model with a sky and sea background and add a white wake.”
After entering the text, tap the blue arrow section.

Capture-004.JPG
The screen will appear like this, and after processing for a moment, the composite image will be displayed.
Scrolling the screen will...

Capture-005.JPG
The image will be displayed as shown here.
Tap the image with the red arrow...

Capture-006.JPG
The composite image will be displayed large.
Please copy this.

Capture-007.jpg
The sailboat model is neatly cut out and composited with the sky, sea, and white wake.
A star mark indicating the image has been composited will appear in the lower right corner.
This mark can be removed using drawing software or similar tools.

Sorry for the clumsy explanation.
Does this make sense now?? :)

In my case, I do everything on my computer.
I don't use tablets or smartphones.

You can find various guides on how to use Google Gemini online.
Those might be easier to understand.:D

Sorry if the explanation sounds weird.

Hey Mellpapa,

Thank you so much for fulfilling my request. I'm really happy and it looks fantastic. I'll give it a try myself sometime. Thank you for all your hard work. :D Thumbsup
Oh yes, if I can understand it, then others can too!:D

Hey there, GIG1810!
Using drawing software (like image processing tools)
to remove the area below the waterline is a bit tricky.Redface
But after that, just give Google Gemini instructions for the compositing process, and the AI handles the rest.
If you want to make further adjustments to the finished composite image, just input more instructions.:)
I think it's pretty straightforward.
Hope this helps everyone out.
. :D
