Soleil Royal by Heller - an Extensive Modification and Partial Scratch-Build by Hubac’s Historian

Hi Guys - does anyone know what specifically these are? They are part of the battle-station equipment for each gun. I think it is a cask, and perhaps the barrel swan is the long handle?

Parts 149 appears to be water buckets with swabs in them, used for swabbing the barrel before reloading to prevent burning cinders remaining in the barrel from setting off the next powder charge. The bucket is of an older style used since the middle ages, tapered at the top, and very stable from tipping in a rolling deck. Parts 147 are racks holding cannon shot. Have you ever fired a cannon? Huge fun! We Americans have all the cool toys... :D
