My sincerest condolences to you and your family. As we get older 'life' happens so staying in touch with loved ones means all that much more. My late wife Sandy passed away 10 years ago now from Alzheimer's and I still remember her and our times together every day. Time does help.

Your work is looking very beautiful. I look forward to your posts. I am just now getting back to ship building - I have had a lot of other irons in the fire this summer and with winter upon us, ship building fills a void of sorts.

Here everything is coincided: I don't really like the colored ships and the plastic ones either... but! Everything looks very beautiful in your execution. I will definitely follow the construction. I have already started using plastic myself, but only 3D printed, and modeled before that. Most likely I will hardly paint (except for black and brown), but again but! And I like everything in your execution!

Difficulty in translation. English is not my native language and I translate through a translator, and it wrote complete nonsense ((( Instead of the word "coincided" for some reason "inserted" "lie". Oh, the trouble with these translators. What I wanted to convey is that even without sharing your preferences in paint and material, I really liked your work. You were able to do something that I really liked, although I thought that I did not like it. But your work breaks my stereotypes, and now I will follow the construction, because it is sincerely interesting. Sorry for the translation. The first time I did not check, and it wrote something completely different from what I wrote.
 
All understandable. I have, myself, been at the mercy of translators when trying to correspond with native French speakers. I have been told that Google Translate does a relatively poor job of translating, while DeepL is significantly better.

I use Google for answers, but now I will check constantly, because of T9 the word automatically changed to one letter to another, and the meaning changed dramatically. But for publications I use the gpt chat. And I give it the task of translating into English, then back to my language and making edits if the meaning is lost. And by the way, this translation turns out great. Well, I'm glad that we understood each other))))
 
Absolutely. One of the main draws, for me, to this forum is that it has a broader European audience, and that means more modelers who are also interested in the 1650 - 1750 time period. However, because of this broad international coalition, there are bound to be communication hiccups, and occasionally I lose sight of that. As an American, I can barely understand French, let-alone any other foreign language, yet Europeans of all stripes can almost always find the bathroom, no matter where they are.

I offer my sincere apologies for being abrupt.
