Morning chaps, progress this morning done all but 2 doors and started port and stbd waste rails, they seem to be going in ok which is a pleasant surprise.

Had a hour this morning but really couldn't concentrate! I had a scan (abdominal aortic aneurysm screening I'm that age now 65) which I just got back from, and results are all good, might do a bit this afternoon.
Also received my rope making machine I plan to make all my own ropes now.

I believe I might have said this before... but I think your choice of this particular gold paint is spot on. Not too much, and not too little. Especially with the black background it looks just right.

I see that you are leaving out the gold strip that goes beneath the gun ports, That has left you much more space for the decorations. Good idea and will save you a lot of grinding which I had to do. Lovely progress though.

Yeah it would look too cluttered imho and like you said saves me lots of grinding and as you will know they get bloody hot
