Sultana

Just re-started the build. I have sanded the hull and carved the bulwarks, even though some sections are a little thinker than others. i have tried to make a cradle but i am not sure how to shape it. i am also perplexed on the transom. Is it made from square piece of wood in kit? i have attached a pix. Need some help.

Yes. I will sand down the bulwark and rebuild them. The build log shows planking being built up past the main deck. I will re-read the build log and the manual to ease my apprehension. My biggest problem stems around the way I like to work. I like to have a structured procedure which doesn't seem to work with this endeavor. I appreciate having a resource for future probs.

Mike,
The planking that I did was not necessary for the build. I only did this to make it look better and try my hand at a little modifications. You will not find that planking in the manual or the plans.

I am curious though about you mention 'the way you like to work'. May I ask what exactly you mean? I understand about having a structured procedure as I am that way as well.
