Hi I am currently busy with the Swift 1805 from Artesania Latina(My first build) and it seems that some parts do not fit correctly. Is this a common issue or am I having trouble understanding the instructions?

Here are some pictures of my progress, I would like to know what the experts think!

Hello. I have built the AL Swift and it is true there are fit issues with some of the parts. You seem to have overcome the most difficult obstacles and your build looks really good to me. In-fact... it looks great!!! Keep going.

I'm curious. Are you using the Bob Hunt Practicum or just the instructions that came with the kit? Your work looks really good for a first build. :) Do you have a model building or woodworking background?

Hi Mike,

Thanks! I have done some research on planking and so on but I have no woodworking background. I'm just using the instructions that came with the kit, a bit of common sense and allot of patience.

Some time has passed since my last posts. Here are some images of my progress. Im busy with the rigging and it appears to be the harder part of my build. Any tips or pointers would help alot. The instructions for the rigging is a bit skinny.

Welcome back on SoS . Your Swift is looking realy good.
Related to the problems with rigging, it would be easier if you can show or explain the particular problem you are struggling......than it is much easier for the members here to understand and give hints.
Rigging is realy not easy, but I am sure, that we can help...

Hi Buffie. It is a great to see a fellow South African on SOS. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your birthday and an excellent build so far. I will follow with keen interest.
