The 4 Railroads Project. (4-Bahnen Projekt)

Nice work. I am a huge railroad fan also. I've had a layout plan in mind for 15 years ! I just cant be involved in so many different subjects. If I were 20 years younger Id start a layout in Fine Scale and we know that's many years worth of work. Keep up your great work.

Now I have started the 4th and last part of my 4-railway project, the Rio Grande narrow-gauge railroad in 0n3. As a special feature, I wanted to incorporate a Howe pony truss bridge that I have built about 20 years ago. The original wooden bridge still exists and spans the Hermosa creek on the Durango to Silverton museum route.
This bridge should now be given an approptiate place.

That bridge with its tie rods, nuts and nails looks impressive, Adi. I like that construction very much.

A bit of an asides ... I used to work for a German defence industry company and one of the things my engineers would always worry about is the envelope all must comply with. Railroads, tunnels, etc. And even transporters and all the size limitations. So fun to see your drawing in an earlier post, showing the gauge etc.
