The newcomer "BowerBird" showcases the completed model

You have been a busy "bird"! welcome! your work is wonderful. a treat to see, all the process as well as the finished models. All very impressive and well done! Okay First Place Metal

Hello, model friends of SOS. I'm "Bower Bird", a model player from Xinjiang, China. I'm 27 years old. Because my English proficiency is too poor, I'm Posting with a translator...
My modeling career began in the winter of 2020. Like many others, my first work was the Black Pearl, which was done very poorly at that time. In the second half of 2023, after removing the sail and all the ropes, it was redone. The second work is the Bian River passenger ship in the "Along the River During the Qingming Festival", the third work is the Viking ship, the fourth work is the Swedish yacht, the fifth work is the Fu ship - Princess peace, the sixth work is the British Royal William yacht, the seventh work is the Egyptian square sailboat Amati, the eighth work is the HMS Enterprise, and the ninth work is a sailboat from Guangdong“shanzeng”. The tenth work is the Sopwith Camel biplane of the Air Road, which is not yet completed. Some relatively simple models were also made in the middle, such as the cruise ships on South Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, the lotus Breeze Four-Faced Pavilion in the Humble Administrator's Garden in Jiangsu Province, and the gondolas in Venice.
This boat was started to be made recently. Its plan is until next summer. I still tried to make its carving by myself with a lot of materials. There are still some details that are not perfect, and I will make corrections later

So enjoy your modelling and my best wishes

This is the production process of some HMS Enterprize. The original nesting material doesn't have many details. I added a lot of details. Although this boat has a bit too large a hole in the rib and got off the platform too early, resulting in a little deformation at the rear (this is what I regret the most) After pasting the outer board of the ship's side, it wouldn't be like this if I took it down. For the inner deck, I used 0.1mm brass wire to drive nails and drilled holes with a needle instead of a drill bit. The captain's cabin was covered with small square pieces of boxwood and ebony that had been bleached with wood bleach (I heard that this ship really doesn't have such a floor, but I referred to HMS victory). I also cleaned the carbon in the holes of the grille with wood bleach, otherwise it would look very ugly. The ebony on the hull is very hard to bend. I used the nozzle of a hot air gun to press the bent part and combined it with quick-drying glue. It was very easy. I also made the anchor out of ebony because welding brass is very difficult for me and I don't have good tools for cutting and polishing brass. The nails on the outer side of the ship are a bit large and dense, which is also an unattractive aspect. I used a glass knife to cut slides to make all the glass for the Windows. The nails on the grating are pricked with needles, filled with ebony powder, smoothed out, then glued and polished. In conclusion, this is my first rib boat. Although I have tried my best, there are still many shortcomings.

The shaking water pump of the set itself was a solid design, but I abandoned it and made a hollow structure myself with boxwood boards. The inner part was drawn by someone and the brass sheet was etched by the manufacturer.
Some details at the bow of the ship, if I had a milling machine, I could have done better. But I don't have that thing, so I had to bend and bond wooden strips, which made it look not very clean. Due to my lack of skills, it's still a bit difficult for me to make it clean. Because of excessive polishing, many sharp edges of the ship's side planks have become blunt. Someone later said this was wrong, but there was nothing I could do.
For the net on the ship's side and the net at the bow, I used a 40-mesh brass grounding net. This is very good. After blackening it, I applied a fabric hardener and then cut it for use. It's very convenient. But it's too difficult to weave it myself
