Wow, she looks really great, Noel. I myself have had some time off as well, and just as I got back on it, my phrostetic leg failed on me and I fell to the ground. Broke two fingers on my right hand, which means I will be out of the shipyard for another month at least.
And I just work at the dining table... the only advantage is that it’s not so lonely. This way, I stay in touch with my wife... As a famous Dutch football player, Johan Cruyff, once said: 'every advantage has its disadvantage'—or in my case, every disadvantage has its advantage....ditto![]()

My setting the masts she got a completely new look, Noël. A nice progress.Hello everyone!
Another step forward! I have finished the lower part of all three masts. It took a bit of puzzling to figure out how everything needed to be assembled. I think I managed it. I haven't glued the masts in place yet!!
Attached are a number of photos of the masts and of the first platform on the masts.
I also purchased the book "Rigging First-Rate-Ships of the Royal Navy, circa 1805". Modeler's Rigging Handbook! It is a beautiful book that will help me get started on the rigging. I am a bit scared of it, especially since it is my first boat!!
(On July 15th, I will have to undergo surgery on my right hand! You probably won't hear or see from me for a few weeks then!)
Best regards from Belgium

Hey OldPaBe,Is it possible to get the boat out of the room? It looks so huge ♥ ♥ ♥
Hello Luc, I am living in 5370 near Ciney -))Hello, thanks to all fellow builders for the comments on my workshop and the build of my Norske Løve!
I am happy with my current workshop now, but at the beginning of my hobby as a model builder, I had to make do with much less. For the first things I made out of wood, I had a small saw, a small knife, a few small files, and wood glue.
In the meantime, after purchasing quite a lot of model building tools and machines, I have arrived at this workshop. Everything has its fixed place, and that is how I work best!
The Norske Løve is my first boat, and so far I have already learned a lot, certainly from the many expert boat builders on this forum!!!
When I start on the rigging, I will still have a lot to learn. I am a little scared of that! We shall see and make the best of it!
Best regards to you all!
With the time I prefer Billing Boat vs Occre ...Two months ago I started building my first boat "The Norske Love". Probably too ambitious! In the basement of my house I set up a working environment to build the boat.

Then I installed all the ribs.

I saw the decoration in the next photo in a post from another built Norske Love in the forum. Hopefully I was allowed to use it.
