There have been some questions on thickness sanders, BYRNES, PROXON, I wish I could afford them, I CAN NOT, but all is not lost, Dave Stevens put a link up to something called THE LUTHIERS BEST FRIEND used by GUITAR AND VIOLION MAKERS, but as the following pictures show perfect for me, it is not cheap $220.00 but I now have 2 machines for the price of one (SPINDEL SANDER AND A GOOD ONE TOO), the pictures shows various thickness that I got done 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch, and 3/32 inch from stock that was up to 3/4 inch thick and resawn, the very thick piece of boxwood, would have to be RESAWN ON MY BAND SAW, need to wait to get the CARTER BEARING GUIDES AS EVERYONE TOLD ME WOULD HAPPEN, SO FAR VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE SO FAR, here are the pictures.
