Tim S Dool is a lake freighter, built at St. John Shipbuilding in St. John, New Brunswick Canada in 1967. Above is a link to a detailed history of this vessel and pictures as well.
Built using shipyard drawings - basswood hull, card stock accomodations/decks, and various fittings purchased. I did install some LED lights as an afterthought, so they look kind of messy because of that.
Here are some basic pics of the final product, as well as a couple I took when I took my model down to the Detroit River to catch pictures of the model and the real ship. Some are before final touches, as in - yes I know the rudder is not installed. I will add more soon.
