This is the first model boat that I built, it was from a kit from Tippecanoe model boats, it was about six years ago and I had fun building it and was surprised to find that I had even more fun sailing it,
It fits, fully rigged into the back of my car so there is no hassle trying to rig outside in the wind and by the waters edge, just turn on the batteries for the servos in the hull and on the transmitter and you are ready to go. Allthough I have made quite a few other craft it still remains a favourite I have sailed Zena hundreds of times and still get a smile on my face every time when she heads out.
It’s such a simple form for the hull just four pieces of shaped thin ply held together with epoxy filets, there is a carbon fibre mast and booms and ripstop nylon sails, For anyone who wants to build a simple but surprisingly sophisticated small yacht to go sailing I can’t recommend the T37 highly enough. Sailing in almost no wind with reflections of the sky and trees
