REVIEW Conversion kit for Proxxon FET:
This afternoon I finally had time to mount the conversion kit on the Proxxon FET.
Got some support from Karl via email.
The cams of the old adjustment were ground, 4 M4 holes drilled, with this as a result:
When the knob A is loosened, you can adjust the guide bar over the round bar over greater distances. When you are near where you want to be, you tighten A. With the fine adjustment knob B, the guide bar has been turned against the saw blade:
Use the large black knob C to secure the guide bar to the saw table.
Set the digital meter to 0:
With the 2nd button from the left you switch between mm and inch.
A slat from the BN kit measured with the caliper:
4.23mm.
With the fine adjustment the guide bar turned to 4.23 mm:
And the slat fitted exactly between the saw blade and the guide bar:
Soon to actually use the FET.
And experiment with the digital meter. Because after a saw cut at a certain width, you can start again at 0 and continue measuring to the left or right.
Karl: Thanks for the support.
For the others: Is it worth the price? In any case, it will probably save a lot of fitting and measuring with the caliper. Now in the "Toys for Boys" category.
