You And @ docattner on his Kingfisher build have mastered the art of machining wood! I'm in awe!I am working on the spar deck capstan. I am using the jig in the photo to make the round pieces. The capstan will be installed in place after painting.

You mentioned your old files were clogged. leaving to stand in weak sulphuric acid is one 'old school' way of cleaning them. It can also (by eroding the edges of the teeth) be used to sharpen blunt ones.
