Well a bit more sanding and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still just a bit of sanding left.

After that I will clean and square up the inside of the lower gun ports.

Hopefully when my Connie is finished she will present well. It is all a learning curb. Even the most experienced modeler will probably tell you they are still learning. Well I have a long way to go in that department. The main thing is as a Hobby you enjoy it. :D

Thanks John. The Connie is a Mamoli and is different in may ways to the other manufactured kits.

Slowly we are getting there and hopefully I will start the second layer planking this week

Your Connie sure is looking good but in a day or so you will probably be dressing her up with your second planking, that sure will make her look very good. Have you tried to mark or punch your copper plates as yet, my guess is that your copper is a bit to thick for the wheel and leaves you with building a punch, please let us know how you make out, ENJOY.

I have been a bit busy with other little projects. I do feel that the copper being only 0.2mm thick maybe to thick for a wheel. It is the same thickness as what was used on my Norfolk Sloop which came with the kit

I will make up a stamp block.

I now have all the bits for my CNC engraving machine which I will post as a separate topic on how to build an affordable machine. The laptop that runs it got a birthday present yesterday with a ram upgrade. She went from 512MB to 2GB

That machine will be a big part of making the stamp because of it's accuracy.

I just need time to get these mini projects finished and back into my Connie build.

I would like to make the copper plates at the same time I continue on with the second layer planking.

Thanks for visiting my build log. I have been busy modifying a CNC router and other projects. The Connie is ready for second planking.

I would also like to do the HMS Blandford Cross Section Project as well. I just need to work out and juggle time.

I hope you are back in the shipyard and getting the little fellas into finishing the Golden Hinde.

I have now restored my build log the best I can for the moment.

I think I have lost some photos and will work out in the coming weeks what to replace the photos with.

Maybe even deleting some of my posts or just missing images.

One thing I read today was about friendships made.

That is what our hobby is about.

I helped out restore a friend build log a few days ago. He is in the USA. I have never personalty met him but have helped him.

To me the friendships are more important because of our great hobby.

Thank you for the welcome. I have been building ship models since I was 6 years old, or for 57 years. Ship modelers have largely proven to be friendly people, and I have found this to be true on other sites as well. It's great to be aboard this site! I will follow your Constitution build with great interest!
