USS "NEW MEXICO" (BB-40) - scratch model - scale 1:200 [COMPLETED BUILD]

Ahoy!

Uwe - This is a 1/200 scale, not 1/700. All small components are designed for the laser ( for photo-etched ). We just glue the paper. That's all. Nothing special

WOW...I continue to amaze what cardboard can offer to modelers (if you know what to do). All the ladders and handrails are cardboard or wire?

Ahoy!

@Jim J - Currently, I have no idea how many parts there are.
I suppose that the final....... Paper elements will be about 7-8 thousand.

A build like yours certainly an inspiration to try card\paper as material to build the models.

That is a fantastic build, the good thing about card is there are a lot more 1:200 kits and you save so much, I priced the 1:200 Trumpeter Bismarck with all the extras, and the GPM card model, I could buy the card model and all the extras for the same price of just the plastic kit. Alas it didn't go any where, no room to store these monsters.

My Congratulations for this amazing model - Very well made my friend !!!!

Great accomplishment and a joy journey to follow, Chris! Yet, it is another awesome example of what cardoboard\paper can do. Many thanks for your build log and Congtars!!
