I wanted to share a Photo of an old ships lantern my wife found during a n antique hunt. It a wonderful replica from a 1913 clipper ship from Dumbarton Scotland.

Is the snake still in the shipyard?

Due to starting a new position with work, I have had very limited time to work on the ship, only a few minutes here and there. Over the last few months I was able to complete the gun and oar ports and started the assembly of the long boat.

Also installed the waterways. Looking paint all gun and oar ports this weekend. I picked up stains for the canon base assemblies and hope to see how that comes out soon.

Looking good!! Love the stand holding your model... Better and cheaper than the "Keel Clamper"....

The clamps have been working well so far, but I have ordered a swivel vise for when the boat gets heavier.

I used several coats of an early American stain, but was not getting the results i wanted. So I applied a single coat of an ebony stain and seemed to work well.

Think you might be missing a forcastle deck beam above the 4rd gun port
