Hello,
I've recently started a search on information on the Scipio with the ultimate intent of building a model of her. You mentioned it earlier in this topic. I just downloaded the digital copy of the Life of a British Privateer book mentioned above where you noted the Scipio was mentioned. I have an ancestor who was transported on the Scipio in about 1715 from Bristol to the Massachusetts colony as one of 92 slaves after being captured during the 3rd Jacobite rebellion. If you happen to find any additional information or references to the Scipio in your research, would you mind sharing it? I'm going to look through the references you mention above as well. Thanks in advance.

Hello John, Please look through the reference material. I have relaxed my search efforts for now. Information about Whydah is very hard to find due to it's time period. Good luck with the Scipio.
If you find a source for that time period please advise.
