YQ Bluenose Ted R Redux

The Vendor I purchased the kit through has responded suggesting I make a list of each loose or damaged part and send it with a photo. I replied that I dont want to get involved with the jigsaw puzzle it would be to accomplish this. And then if I missed something I would have to go back and try to get them to arrange another shipment. Nevermind the months in delays.
I just want to build a ship model. They are in the business of selling and shipping model kits. They need to either take the loss or file on their insurance.

Well, that is sad.. part by part.. Now there is a chore! I agree they should take a loss, respect the customer and provide another.. it would be good for business all the way around.
Guy

Now Ebay says I have to wait 5 days for the Vendor to send me a return postage label. Either way it's just a matter of time.
I have a replacement kit that I haven't mentiones on the way. It is the correct POF pear version. Hopefully it will.be here today.

It's on now. I have the proper kit in hand and the plans that got separated will arrive today. I'm going to start removing the char from frames and get ready for glueup.
The plans arrived just now.
Yeah

Thank you Peter. My learning curve on the last one was pretty steep. This time I have all the documentation available and my confidence is high. No doubt that will get blown away shortly.

It's Saturday morning in Southern California and yhe weather is beautiful.
Took a trip to the dollar store for plastic buggies and a felt marker. I'm going to store the frames in indiividual bags until installed.
While doing research on the frame bolting used on the actual ship it was iron or steel bolts, not treenails. My intention is to brass wire treated with brass black for these bolts. . My calculations indicate 30 guage wire at 0.25.mm. Even if I use pbc cobalt drills they will have to be used with the dremel drill press or the breakage will be a nightmare of breakage and stuck drill bit shards. I don't know how I will do the keelson, etc. I'm thinking of using 0.5.mm bits and larger wire for.ease of construction. This would.be much smaller than the nails provided in the kit.
Do you guys think it would look noticeably out of scale?
Construction us even started and the compromises have begun.
