I’ve never been attracted by this model, preferring something which really existed in history but you are challenging my prejudices with this one. So it IS possible to build an impressive fantasy ship. Hmm…
Did you find the fictional aspect allowed you to improvise or did you stick to the Disney prototype. (I haven’t seen the films)

Thank you for the kind words. I did think of the base myself incorporating the kraken tentacles and the coins from the movies. My son printed them for me(skulls included) and then I finished the colours. The base also houses a lot of the wiring. I think it not being a real ship allowed a little more artistic creativity, not having to adhere to history.I followed a lot of the members here and stole an idea here and there and applied it in my own way.
