Hello ,
The Amerigo Vespucci is an Italian training sailboat. It belongs to the Italian military navy, used for the training of student officers. It is currently one of the oldest three-masted square to sail, the oldest training ship of the Italian Navy in service and one of the largest military school sailboats in the world.
It's Panart Model , Scale : 1/84
Regards , René

Good work. This was (? is) in my opinion the Rolls Royce of kits. I built it over a period of 5 years and despite its price, especially discounted, its gives value at cents per hour and great satisfaction. I await to see your building of the small boats which will give your model a further level of excellence.

Thankyou very much for your comment..

I agree. This Amerigo so far has not made it to my workshop due to its complexity and enormous details. Wonderful build.

I remember now that this involved over 100 sub-builds including 11 boats of various shapes and difficulties. It started my obsession of hording all sorts of containers. Even now my wife automatically asks me before throwing a box or jar away.

Hi, I’m building the same model, my log is here (link below). I’m not quite as advanced as yourself yet with my build but having just read your log I understand fully what you have achieved so far. Although we are building the same ship its surprising just how different in appearance they are, two modelers making the same kit but with different interpretations on how they will be represented. Just my thought after reading your posts and seeing your photos. Looks good, keep up the fine work.

Ça a l'air bien, continuez votre beau travail.
