Greetings!
This is my Cutty Sark - 1/84 scale.
The kit is by Artesiana Latina - an entirely wooden model.
Production time - about 3000 hours.
The hull is made of walnut, the decks are made of maple.
The masts are walnut and beech, the sails are not fabric - I used the same technology as Le Soleil Royal.

Here is the pictures:

I have this kit in storage, waiting for me to build more experience. I got a good price from hobby shop going out of business on the kit.

Very good looking build and love all the sails and rigging.

Do you have a link to how you did your sails?

Are your sails made of sailcloth? They look very nice, did you treat material for aged look?

I am learning about sails, near that stage on my current build.

They are from nylon bags - You can find in any supermarket :)
I use airbrush to color them in base white, then again with the airbrush with some brown color I made them to look aged :)
The vertical lines in this scale I made with pencil.
The surround rope is sinthetic tread :)

Genius, with such simple materials and to suck good effect

Absolutely beautiful. Your build is an inspiration for my own Cutty Sark build. Any words of wisdom re rigging? Did you have an alternate source to help you or did you use the provided instructions?
