Belle Poule 1780 1:72 - Sail and Sail Model by zoly99sask

yes, it is a very clever idea with the marks and lines for the planking - these are helping a lot to create a technically correct planking pattern.
Very good detail
and btw: my friend, your work is also looking very good

Witaj
Z ogromnym zainteresowaniem oglądam twoją relację zestawu jest tworzenie a ty robisz kawał dobrej roboty. Cieszę się, że będę mógł podglądać twoją pracę i miałem na kim się wzorować. Kończę właśnie Montans i rozpoczynam pracę nad La belle ,będę robił z planów Ancre .
Pozdrawiam Mirek

Welcome
I am watching with great interest your report of the set is creating and you are doing a great job. I am glad that I will be able to watch your work and I had someone to model. I'm just finishing Montans and starting work on La belle, I'm going to be making Ancre plans.
Regards Mirek

Пришла и моя посылка с этой моделью. Впечатление весьма положительные. Важно, не сильно совмещать с чертежами Анкре) Пока отлеживается. Есть что строить. С удовольствием Наблюдаю за Вашей постройкой и ворую фото

My package came with this model. The impression is very positive. It is important not to overlap with the drawings of Ankra) While lying down. There is something to build. With pleasure I watch your building and steal photos

Once again that is a very good idea to mark the layout of the planks. The manufacturer has really gone out of his way to make this operation as foolproof as possible, which has to be applauded. Planking still remains the biggest challenge to modelers so if some of the dark art and guesswork about it can be taken away, it is always a good thing. Happy New Year to you and your family as well, Zoly!

These new kits almost plank themselves! :p
I sure would have appreciated a planking layout on any of the ships I’ve built! ;)

Happy New Year!

Your clamping technique without a side stabiliaztion, such as having the pieces flat on a piece of glass to prevent out-of-plane distortion, is far better than my eye and hands produce. When I think the parts are in plane and clamp the opposing edges I fail the challenge. I do see in the last photo that you have sufficient clamps to grasp both the sides and top/bottom at the same time which solves that need.
Well done by you!!! Rich (PT-2)

Thank you, actually it was more challenging to glue the whole keel on the ship as there was nothing to klip on anything so I was just holding it by hand

Very nice work Zoly. But now you have to cut all those gunports open again!:)
