Does anyone have any ideas on how to build a good ropewalk to be able to make your own ropes? Are there blueprints available anywhere? Can you find tips on a website?

Impressive. But I understand French. Is it possible to buy STL files to be able to 3d print the parts?
Hi Ornbolt,
I used commercially available components to build my machine: the can holders, the green gears, the motor, the bearings, the main threaded shaft. In fact I only have the blue parts that are 3D printed. These parts are specifically adapted to the other components. I don't think the STL files for these two parts are very useful but I can provide them to you.
Here is a link on this forum that provides also further explanations: https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/using-a-rope-walk.9044/#post-219066
Best regards,
Fred
