This is my downfall, I always have too many projects on the go, from models to crafts to household stuff and gardening. But I doubt I’ll change now! If I started the Revell Cutty Sark again I would lower the deck by about 5mm, as it’s too high.That would also create the room to correct the bowsprit and add gammoning. By the time I realised that the deck height was the fundamental issue I was too far along to have the heart to start again. Though to be honest, if I ever did start again I’d just finish the 3D hull I started way back and probably rescale it to 1:72, as the only thing from the kit on my build is in fact the hull. Learning CAD is like everything else, great fun interspersed with bouts of utter frustration, but there’s loads of tutorial info on the web. While the tech for home printing is now quite mature, I’m not sure the same is true for scanning. I sold my budget (but still quite expensive) scanner after 6 months as it couldn’t give me the detail I needed.working several builds now
