My first model of this ship and 11 others will be going to the US Navy mid to late 2025. So with an empty workshop I re make a few of my Favorites to keep busy. I am starting with the Stern and Quarter gallery carving first. Here is the first one.

Nice hand work. That's the best way to do it, in my opinion. (other opinions are available)

What is the white material please?

I have included the bulkhead drawings of the Pennsylvania in 1/72 scale and placed one for the Constitution next to it to give you a size comparison. The bulkheads on the Penny are so big I had to make two sides to get them on a 8x11 sheet of paper. Also working on the masts.

Remarkable!!! Wonderful work on an unusual subject. What scale is she being built to?

Where does the Navy intend to display your models?

Roger

This is in 1/72 scale. I believe the navy intends to show them at various museums across the US.

Time to work on my least favorite part of the ship. The gun ports.
I have most of them rough cut out. I will not do the spar deck gun ports until all the others are finished. Experience has taught me that if I cut them out the wales will break off constantly as I hold on to it to shape the lower deck ports. This is the Pennsylvania.
