Anyone know of a good source for decals for a 1/48 scale C-47 aircraft? Sprue Brothers is no help, it only has decals for 1/72. I have looked at Hinnants.

Good morning,

What should the decals for the C47 look like? Do you have a sample? If you can't find any in 1:48 scale, you can make them yourself. You will need a good printer and water-soluble decal film. But first we can look for the decals on the net. I would be happy to help you.

Here is a photo:

This shows typical markings. Usually a number and letter are on the nose behind the cockpit windows.

Thanks. I can get decal paper from Micro-Mark of Sprue Brothers. Its the sizing that I would need to get correct.

This may be helpful. Pricy though. You may want to consider "Generic" aircraft numbers and insignia's in the 1/48th scale that you may be able to adopt to your needs.
