Very clean neat coppering! Beautiful Gilbert.
impressive! The curve of the copper plate lines are particularly pleasing!
Good morning Gilber. You totally owned those copper plates. Cheers Grant
Hey Gilbert,
That looks stunning. I think it's got something. Copper plating like this is always an incredible amount of work ... always enough for a cold winter evening. Can I ask how long you spent on it?
Beautiful ... great work!

Hi ChrisI haven't looked back at some of your earlier posts about painting...
So sometime with plastic models, professional builders will tape off the section they want to protect, then paint over that with the same color. Once it dries, they paint the are with the color they want. The first painting might 'leak' under the tape, but since it's the same color, there is no 'blur' or slop.
So looking at some of your pics, you'd tape the yellow striping just under the wales. Then repaint that striping with yellow/ochre and once that dries, paint them black...
You'll find that when you remove the tape, it will be crispy clean!!!!
You may have already figured that out!!!!

Perhaps one of the finest copper plated hulls I have seen yet Gilbert. Beautiful job!
Have a good time in the US Gilbert.![]()
Wonderful looking hull and very well done.
Wow! That is one impressive ship model. Congratulations on finishing the plating - I'll never experience that particular satisfaction as I don't see a copper hull in my future.
Lovely job. That copper!!!
The beautiful result is a reflection of huge the amount of time and care you have taken. Tedium is OK.Daniel, Papatotalos, Rebus, Paul, Richard, thank your for your feedback.
This was the first time I experienced copper plating a hull but I have to say that despite the tedious process, the outcome is positive.
Cheers

Hello Gilbertm,
The copper cladding is absolutely stunning—I'm mesmerized.
It's absolutely amazing.![]()
Good morning Gilbert. Bravo. You totally owned these copper plates. Cheers GrantHello friends
I have now completed the hull copper plating. I needed 10 days for the port side, thus a little bit faster than the starboard side.
Quite happy with the results; pictures below.
Later this week, I'll be traveling to the US to spend the holidays with my children and grand children and will be off for a little over 2 months. No ship building during this period.
Cheers
