Hi, how did you make them?In hindsight, I might have been a bit hasty in fitting the cannons to the deck, but what's done is done.
While pondering my next move, I carved some tiny barrels for decoration. Every ship needs a barrel or two.

Hi Gary.Hi, how did you make them?

That would be great Fungusaurus. They must be tiny. I was thinking 1/4 scale, maybe easierHi Gary.
I carved the basic shape from a wooden meat skewer, made some vertical cuts to simulate the staves, and used a thin strip of paper for the hoops.
Then it was just a matter of adding a little paint on the hoops. I'll do a little show and tell on here as soon as I have some time.
Coming along nicely! The first cannon has been installed.

Thank you.Coming along nicely!
I love how everyone has fish personal flavor of this kit.

День добрый, а размеры мачт какие не подскажите?Next, I started working on the masts. The kit was missing the caps, so I had to make some from scraps.

I then went about assembling the crosstrees and shaping the masts:

and then assembled them to make sure it all fits together.
