I used a plastic folder that I painted in black.
So no, you can't see thru the windows
I was thinking of lights on the one I’m building for my daughter starting next month. Is this model amenable to that?

Focus this week was around the fences on the starboard side as well as the top row gun port frames and decorations.
First of all, I found that the middle level of the balcony was too much going upward. I have therefore removed it (as well as on the port side), adjusted, and glued it back trying to be, as much as possible, square with the hull. I feel the result is nicer.
Below pictures of the top row gun port decorations as well as the fences.
Planned for next week: same thing on the port side and if time allows, starting the stern decoration.

Nice! I had trouble keeping my hinge pins straight on the gun ports on the ZHL Black Pearl. You have the same kinds of covers and hinges. How did you accomplish that? Are there guns for the aft ports?Hello

Indeed, lots of decorations
She was the leading ship of Louis XIV, King of France, and he was all about gold and shine (he's the one who had built the Versailles castle.

Yes, these are the 4 gun ports below the stern balcony (just at top of the rudder)
In terms of hinges, the is one part (the smaller one) that goes inside the hull and one part glued on the port itself. You then make small buckles on tie the 4 pieces together with a small nail. The trick is really to fit all this together in a stable fashion
