18th Century 42 pound Carronade

This is the barrel that I found on line. However, I had to glue a piece on the bottom for the swivel.

If you can post your file on line, I would like to have a copy. It would make building any further Smashers much easier. The above was built out of poplar for the decking and chestnut for the other parts. Thanks much for your reply. Your work is really great. I might try my hand at a double one.
 
Yep, just need to figure out where the appropriate viewing windows would show the details. Cardstock will my friend at that time, I can print the planking lines on it and trim it from there.

I also had a question. Would it make sense to put a couple of scarph joints on the hull planking (just for additional detail) as in the 'borrowed' image? maybe in Wale's plank.
