Good luck with a pilot model!
Well the archives must make funds somehow to keep things in order. Hopefully not to expensive for good drawings. All our projects are based on original drawings. We have a good naval archive with a very large number of drawings of ships from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century. You can find drawings of russian ironclas and battleships, a lot of artillery. The archive issues copies of drawings only on a paid basis.
If the archival documents have already been scanned, then the cost is not very large. And those documents that are not scanned and large in size, you can give a decent amount of moneyWell the archives must make funds somehow to keep things in order. Hopefully not to expensive for good drawings.
These slots allow you not to glue but simply insert the frame.
Agreed that they are hopefully preformed/pre shaped and that the instructions indicate the correct orientation and sequence of placement for each plank. Also, I suspect care will need to be exercised not to allow the glue that is used to glue the planks to the frames to "spill over" and come in contact with the underlying forms.ARE THE PLANKS PRE FORMED. GOD BLESS STAY SAFE YOU AND YOURS DON
Yes, you are right. All the necessary appearances will be present in the instructions. The pre formed planks are needed so that the shape of the longboat is preserved after being removed from the slipway.Agreed that they are hopefully preformed/pre shaped and that the instructions indicate the correct orientation and sequence of placement for each plank. Thank you for the advice. You can wax the forms with candle or bees wax to keep accidental glue drops from sticking. of use clear saran wrap or equal for same purpose, both very thin and don't effect shape.
