Hmmm. My copy of Kirsch has many pages missing. I realised this because I do not have the page you posted, which identifies the numbers of the lines in the figure.Good day!
John,
Me personal, on my model, Ive used No1 for back stay for the 16tn ... Don't hurry up... I would reccomend ...jist slowly going down trough Anderson book, each article relevant to your actual stage of your model rigging, to understand what he is talking about , and just follow what he says
You will be surprised how simple are the rigging are, that You could see on the models and pictures ...))
That riging lines #33 You marked blue and green on Peter Kirsch galleon model - they are botn should be mast tackles, mast tackles..but He says they are breath backstays which is strange for me....
As I could see, He didn't show back stays in his reconstruction of his galleon riggings... the initial source of all rigging reconstruction - see Anderson book

But I was aboe to find a copy at a resonable price so I have ordered it.Hmmm. My copy of Kirsch has many pages missing. I realised this because I do not have the page you posted, which identifies the numbers of the lines in the figure.
I am missing many pages...
36 to 47
74 to 164
and nothing beyond 200.

Try this translator, it seems to be it. They understand nautical terms quite well.I have ordered the GH plans from Eugene. The belaying diagram is in German, and I have tried to translate as best as I can. The file below was constructed with the help of some German friends, If anyone can help extend entries, or clarify terms, that would be very welcome! Cheers.

Many thanks! I will use that to add to my list
Yes. I have opened the ports for the guns, and have purchased nice guns from HiSmodel. I just have to somehow construct the intertior "deck" to hold the guns. I think individual "deckettes" is perhaps the best wayGreat information, question, are you adding a gun deck?
I also spoke with Radimir at HisModels and he had some good ideas. Basically, we want the guns and carriages to be very securely held in place. Once the hull halves are joined we cannot fix anything that goes wrong so the guns have to be very securely held to the carriages and the carriages have to be well secured to the fake deck. So Radimir suggested not putting the wheels on the carriages. They will not be visible anyway, and without the wheels there is a larger area to be glued to the deck. Good thinking. He also suggested a discreet thin black wire to hold the cannons securely onto the carriages. And then I thought that I could also easily secure that wire through a hole in the (fake) deck so that the entire thing (guns and carriages) are well glued *and* secured by wire. That should hold it in place.Hello John!
This is Good idea with this added individual gun deck, I need to do something similar on my model !
All The Best!
