Time for a little update I have started planking some of the roof sections that will eventually fit on the boat deck.

Big update time I have attached A and B deck etched sides and fitted all the etched doors and fittings on the hull.

Started on the funnels as per instruction manual I have done no's 3 and 4 and also the before during and the completed funnels.

Interesting way they have instructed you to make funnels, but seem effective. Nice work.

I am now starting on the boat deck structure's here's what I will be doing.And the first two parts and the completed rudder.And the rest of the parts but the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I have built the gym the wrong way round but by the time I put this post up it will have been corrected.

Just curious about funnel color. Did you use use off the shelf paint or mix your own? I know the “correct” WSL Buff was the subject of much debate. Luckily they still make pencils with that pink thing on the other end. Until they quit that we’re still allowed to be human.

I mixed my own it's a combination of tamiya desert sand lightened with with Matt white.

Here's and small update and the last of the pictures while I clear the backlog of plastic kits.
All of the main deck structure's with the exception of the second class lift shaft.
And a test of all funnels in place.

Now she’s looking like liner. Backlog of honey dos just about done so I can start on my project. How long for drydock do you figure?

I am probably going to lay it up for a month I will come back to it in early February.

Time for a return this time I have completed one the deck structure's that fits between the third and fourth funnel and also contains the second class dome.

More parts finished and I have substituted the paper decoration for the vents in favour of some mesh and I have three more sub assembly's finished ready for the photo etch

More work done this time it's finishing off the second class lift shaft and all the etched windows.
And the the completed article.
Still needs a bit of tiding up.

I have finished the first class smoke room roof and the fourth funnel casing all ready to be installed on the ship.,

Next part finished ready for the boat deck this part is the reciprocating engine casing/tank room and also has the second class staircase dome but I am waiting on a after market part from minibrass hence why it is empty.
