Good morning Gilbert. WOW,wow,wow…..what a beautiful model. Bravo my friend. Cheers GrantHello friends
After a little over 2 years, I have now completed the Mantua/Panart Amerigo Vespucci.
Adding the sails and the associated rigging was quite an effort, especially considering a total of close to 20 sails.
Anyway, this is now behind me and I am happy with the final results.
The last step will be to build a proper cabinet for her. I'll do that at the same time I start my next build Caldercraft HMS Victory.
Below some pictures of the completed model.

Dear Gilbert
Congratulations with this beautiful model,
Congratulations on an exquisite model!
Great work Gilbert.
I can only hope to do nearly as well with my AV but I have at least a year before I finish it.
I won't be back in my mancave until April because I currently on a cruise in the Indian ocean heading to Mauritius.
Thanks JeffStunningly beautiful build. Congratulations on completing it.
Hey Gilbert good luck with this build. The kits looks great.Hi Gilbert,
That looks a great kit.
When you consider the length of time and enjoyment that this project will give you it will be well worth the price.
Good luck with the build altho looking at your last build you will not need it.
I will be following this build.
Hey CharlieHey Gilbert good luck with this build. The kits looks great.
I am finishing up my first build, the HMS Beagle. I was also thinking of the Amerigo Vespucci for my next. But I was leaning towards the OcCre kit. Only because I started with them and I liked the Beagle kit. Any thoughts?
Thank you Gilbert. I have noted a few issues with the instructions and parts. However, you are right. The videos make up for that, especially for a beginner or novice. On the next one, there is a lot I will change or do on my own. Being my first wood kit, I tried to follow the instructions step by step. Again, thanks for your insight.Hey Charlie
From what I have seen and read, the Panart kit is a bit more detailed than the Occre.
However, Occre has very good videos for each step of the build process. They are quite detailed and certainly useful.
I have not experienced Occre kits so I cannot judge the quality of the parts.
Cheers
