Very beautiful and neat assembly of the ship! I don’t know why, but I’m interested in such small ships - sloops, cutters, schooners, Hayling Hoy... I’ll have to build something similar somehow

Thanks Grant and Dave. I've just started back to work on my AVS. So will move my Bluenose schooner up to my workbench soon.

Finished the gun carriages. Now to the carriage rigging. I tried to make the eyelets smaller. Didnt do a very good job. I have some smaller brass wire I will use next time.

Finally finished mounting the gun carriages. Still need eyebolts in the deck to pull the gun back. After spending 4 days working on these tiny things I'll never talk about about tying ratlines again!!

The hardest part for me was making the rope coils. Drove me crazy for two days. Just couldn't get them made correctly.

It finally came to me to 1) coat the end of the rope with CA and coil it before the CA dried.



Then 2) use double sided carpet tape to hold the rope in place and the coating with CA glue before pulling them off.


The mounted everything.
