Hello all. I just started building the Heller 1/100 HMS Victory. It isn't my first model. I've completed 3 of Revell's 1/96 classics: Consitution, United States and Cutty Sark. I've built and rigged most of the other smaller plastic classics: Golden Hind, Mayflower, Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria, the Pirate Ship, even the WASA. I'm reasonably skilled but the instructions and diagrams from Heller are giving me heartburn. It is very difficult to see, let alone interpret the start and end points of the lines. I have a copy of The Anatomy of Nelson's Ships with rigging diagrams for Victory. Although that shows the rigging plan, it doesn't help much in locating lines on the model. I have the rigging plans for Constitution (and United States) which can help somewhat even though they are a different class of ship from Victory. I'm hoping that somebody can point me to an improved set of rigging instructions: something with clearer drawings and perhaps sequential instructions. If there is an improved set of general build instructions I would be interested in those also. I'm struggling through the Heller instructions now and making slow progress. I'm spending way more time studying the instructions than actually building the model.
I will appreciate any help.
regards,
Vic
