Build Log: Jotika/Caldercraft 1/64 HM Brig Badger

Thanks very much for the good word Bruce :D

Sorry for the prolonged absence guys, anyway, I'm happy to report that Badger is now complete after all the trials and tribulations that came along. Here are her pics :D

Modified my swivel guns a bit

Yes, I know the barrels are supposed to be lashed to eyelets, but my nerves just can't stand forcing my stubby hands into all that rigging so instead I just gave the crew a rope coil so they can lash it on their own... they're still looking for some spare eyelets to use

Sometimes I wonder if it was worth all the effort putting the hinges for the trunion caps of these guns as they are barely visible... well at least we know they're there... just use your imagination

One thing I regret is using the BADGER lettering provided... I think it's too modern for this ship

Nothing much in these next pics, just a bunch of rope coils.

Here is another set of pics I made using my modified "shot corner" (made from the table edge and the corner of the wall  ) I think I need to improve its lighting and invest in an SLR Camera but just the same, it served as a good "experiment" in photography, plus the bed covers in the previous photos just look a bit silly

Well, I guess that's about it... this closes my log for Badger :)

This has been a really fulfilling experience for me, having met a lot of friends and mentors along the way. I thank each and everyone of you who have dropped by to share your thoughts and advice, they have all motivated me to strive to be a better modeller :D

And though Badger's log is now at an end, my Pegasus' log is just about to begin, and I hope to see you all there :D It's a fairly more complicated build so I'll need the help I can get ;) Thanks again to all! :8)

Hi aldo

Your Badger in looking very nice, you have done a top job on your ship.
Looking sharp+++++++ :handgestures-salute:

Børge :D

I agree with all the other comments. Nicely executed and great job on the rigging. I thought it very nice and appropriate with the bed sheets photos since you are putting the ship to sleep.

Kamusta Aldo -
I know that you must be very proud of your accomplishments - it is surely a beautiful ship you have. Congratulations friend.

Donnie

Thank you for the kind words, Bill, I'm glad you're finding my log helpful.

I would suggest starting a build-log for your Badger so we could all follow along. There are also plenty of talented members here that could provide valuable help and advise in case you come across a problem during your build :)

Aldo,
I just started working on the Badger and am thrilled to find your log! You have done a great job and are an inspiration to a beginner like me. The Badger is my second build and all I've done so far is lay the keel.
Bill
