Thank you!Looks good so far!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that. I am no expert, but hopefully I can build a first rate ship and perhaps give a few helpful tips along the way!Very good start
the building log and your work
I read your build log and I might have a few questions on the rigging when I get that far. You made the build look easy, I hope I can do as good of a job.this is a fun kit that builds into an excellent model. The rigging is an enjoyable challenge.
I like that idea! I can use steel wool and make it look worn more in the middle where high traffic areas are.I would stain it and give it a light sanding so that it looks a little bit worn down, gives it a nice realistic look!
Did you know that the Couronne was the first ship build purposely as a war ship by the French? This is the part where I complain about instructions. I see them as a suggestion and not an absolute! Sometimes things just make better sense using a different technique or in a different order than the instructions tell you. So my advice is always read ahead. In fact I spent an hour reading and looking at the entire instructions and images to see the work needed ahead and the logical order of things.
