Chevrolet Corvette 2022 Stingray Coupe

Thank you all for your interest. Actually the base price (lowest cost entry is about $68,800)
And seriously goes up from there. The latest ZR1x is about $230,000

Latest body. This is just the basic stingray. Yes, it would be nice to fly to BG museum to pick it up

My favorite Corvette was my 1969 Stingray. It was a coupe with a 427 with factory side pipes, 4 speed, red with tan interior.
In addition I owned a 1969 convertible that was silver with red interior, 350 auto. And a 1972 convertible, red with black interior, 350 auto. And a 2004 Z06, red with black interior, LS6 with 6 speed. And a 2002 coupe, red on black, LS1 with auto.
And my last Corvette was a 2012 Grand Sport, Carlisle blue, with dark grey interior, LS3 with 6 speed.
To say I like Corvettes would be an understatement! ROTF

And great job on the model Donnie. I think a larger scale with more detail would be nice. I may have to build a large scale Corvette. ;)

I agree, this scale (from Revell) is just too small. They are trying to pack in too many tiny parts and details into such a small package.

Can't beat an LS on the chips with a power adder

Striping. Very tedious and must be very careful. I am using Micro-Set and Micro-Solve to keep decals floating until final placement. The Solve makes the decals flexible onto the curved surfaces.

Clear coat next.

I took my driving test in my brother in law's green 1968 Corvette, 4speed, 427ci 390hp with the Lake pipes. The only thing it didn't have is power steering. The old cop told me the side pipes were illegal in Mississippi and the only reason he let me use it was because it had Memphis plates, it was very hard to parallel park, but I managed it. Then I got to drive it to school while they moved up north. There was a lot of envy and jealousy from that experience. It was the only car I ever drove that would 'get rubber' in all four gears.

Thats funny Jim. When I had my 2008 Corvette, my wife took her drivers test in that vette too. What about that !!!!

I couldn’t find any pics of my 2002 coupe.

Anyway, always loved Corvettes, I have a collection in 1/32 scale. But Donnie is making me want to build a model of one! ;)
