With what they cost Chevy should buy the airline ticketsDonnie, when my neighbor ordered a new one he flew to Kentucky and picked it up at the factory in Bowling Green! It is one of his greatest memories! Magic Mike
Can't beat an LS on the chips with a power adderMy favorite Corvette was my 1969 Stingray. It was a coupe with a 427 with factory side pipes, 4 speed, red with tan interior.
In addition I owned a 1969 convertible that was silver with red interior, 350 auto. And a 1972 convertible, red with black interior, 350 auto. And a 2004 Z06, red with black interior, LS6 with 6 speed. And a 2002 coupe, red on black, LS1 with auto.
And my last Corvette was a 2012 Grand Sport, Carlisle blue, with dark grey interior, LS3 with 6 speed.
To say I like Corvettes would be an understatement!
And great job on the model Donnie. I think a larger scale with more detail would be nice. I may have to build a large scale Corvette.![]()
I took my driving test in my brother in law's green 1968 Corvette, 4speed, 427ci 390hp with the Lake pipes. The only thing it didn't have is power steering. The old cop told me the side pipes were illegal in Mississippi and the only reason he let me use it was because it had Memphis plates, it was very hard to parallel park, but I managed it. Then I got to drive it to school while they moved up north. There was a lot of envy and jealousy from that experience. It was the only car I ever drove that would 'get rubber' in all four gears. My favorite Corvette was my 1969 Stingray.
